We just celebrated a wonderful Christmas as a family. Bethany and Cody were off work on Saturday, and we had a chance to play some word games in the living room as a family. Believe it or not, we hadn't done that as a stepfamily, almost 6 years after becoming one. Then Bethany and Cody came to church with us on Sunday. I helped serve Communion. It is quite a moving experience to participate in the Holy Eucharist by serving the elements to your own family.
Praise God for our family time together this past weekend. And praise Him for all of the changing, growing and learning we have ALL done as we've grown closer together in our new and very special stepfamily. It certainly is an answered prayer, and leaves me feeling very full as the New Year beckons.
